You may have heard of Farrell's "10 Market Rules to Remember". Bob Farrell was a Merrill Lynch analyst in the pre-internet era from the 1960s to 1992. Despite an absence of computing power and no on-screen graphics he pioneered technical analysis (charts) and his technical observations attracted attention and gained popular acclaim because of their more realistic 'behavioural' rather than fundamental foundations.
