Police have charged a 13-year-old girl from Brunswick after they stopped a vehicle she was driving on Westwood Street in Withers on Tuesday night.
At around 8pm, police were on patrol in Withers when they stopped a ute driving with no headlights on.
The female driver was questioned by police and found to be a 13-year-old girl.
Police made inquiries on the vehicle and found that it was allegedly stolen from a residence in Brunswick earlier in the evening, and contained property belonging to its owner.
The girl was conveyed to Bunbury Police Station and subsequently received an alleged positive breath test.
She has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, stealing, no authority to drive and excess 0.00 and will appear before the Bunbury Children’s Court on May 8, 2015.
