THE Augusta Margaret River Hawks had a convincing win on Sunday when they hosted the Collie Eagles.
The league game was a high scoring affair right from the first bounce with Hawks posting six goals and Eagles kicking seven in the first quarter.
The Hawks began to dominate in the second quarter, kicking three goals to Collie's one and were 10 points ahead going into the main break.
Hawks continued their trend with five goals to Collie's three in the third term.
The last quarter saw Collie fight back keeping the Hawks to three goals while posting three majors themselves.
The final score was 17.11-113 to 14.8-92.
It was a different story for the Hawks' reserve side who were demolished by the Eagles.
While they improved on their one goal effort from round one, the Hawks still only managed to kick three majors.
The Collie Eagles on the other-hand managed to kick a total of 15 goals for the match.
One upside for the Hawks is they didn't lose by more than 100 points.
The final score was 3.1-19 to 15.22-112.
The Hawks' colts side is looking to have a great season with another win under their belt.
While they beat the Eagles by 109 points, it could have been worse if only the Hawks kicked straight.
The first quarter was reasonably tight with Hawks kicking three goals nine to Collie's two goals one.
The match continued this way as the young Hawks dominated the field and scoreboard.
The final score was 22.23.155 to 7.4-46.
The Hawks will be travelling up to Payne Park next week to take on Bunbury.
