Two people were injured when the car they were in was hit by another vehicle trying to escape a police chase on Friday night.
The couple was in a car at the intersection of Warwick Road and Coolibah Drive in Greenwood when their vehicle was hit by a Toyota Corolla which was being pursued by police.
A short time later police were directed to a house on Warwick Road where the Corolla had crashed into a brick wall at the front of the property. Officers arrested three people close to the crash scene.
The chase started in Balga when officers tried to stop the Corolla which drove off at speed. Police pursued it through Marangaroo, Wanneroo, Woodvale, Craigie and Padbury to Warwick. At times the Toyota reached speeds of up to 150kph and was driven on the wrong side of the road.
A 17-year-old from Nollamara was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop and having no authority to drive.
The injured couple was treated for minor injuries.
