MARGARET River Primary School students were privileged with a visit from WA Scout group development officer James Maughmer on August 24.
Mr Maughmer, also known as Crash talked about the fun adventures that occur when you join the Cubs and Scouts.
Mr Maughmer has over 20 years of scouting leadership under his woggle and is dedicated to introducing the values of scouting to children across WA.
"Modern Scouting is designed to encourage the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of young people so they can take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, and as a member of their local, national and international communities," Mr Maughmer said.
"We still do all the fun stuff, badges, camping, orienteering and bake sales, but there's a genuine commitment to encouraging these kids to be great members of society."
Margaret River's leader Elizabeth Dawson who is known as Pixie said the local club was flourishing.
"But we always love to see new faces," she said.
