A LOWER than average rainfall gave Margaret River a dry September.
Across last month, 78.4 millimetres of rain fell at the Witchcliffe recording station which was considerably less than the long-term average of 114.3 millimetres.
Just five millimetres of rain fell on Margaret River in the last 15 days of the month.
The day time temperature were one degree higher than average at 18.4 with the temperature peaking at 24.6 on September 23.
Meanwhile, the night time temperatures were 7.5 degrees last month compared to the long-term average of 8.8 degrees.
The coolest night of the month was a chilly 2.7 degrees on September 2.
This week the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts showers starting Friday, progressing across the weekend into Monday with sunshine and a top of 21 degrees on Wednesday.
