THE sun was out in full force on October 3, as were the South West community when they flocked to Langley Park in Busselton for the first South West Oktoberfest.
From 11am the steady trickle of punters grew to a flood as people gathered to watch the big screen for the start of the AFL grand final.
West Coast scarves and shirts could be seen wrapped around traditional German outfits, the blue and gold offset by lederhosen in what could easily be the most entertaining juxtaposition Busselton has seen.
The event appeared to be a strong choice for gentlemen celebrating their bucks parties, with outrageous costumes going hand in hand with their final celebration of their single life.
With plenty of beer, snacks, a ferris wheel and bands ready to kick off post game, the day looked to have something for everyone.
