In what has been described by police media as a "significant arrest", a 42-year-old man was apprehended at the intersection of Fifty Road and Mandurah Road in Baldivis on Sunday night.
Officers attended the area following a reported sighting of a man wanted for questioning by police over a number of offences around the Perth metropolitan area.
Officers from Regional Operations Group, Kwinana Police and Dog Squad attended the area with support from Police Airwing.
Police dog Rumble was deployed and tracked a scent into nearby bushland.
Upon approaching the man, he surrendered himself and was arrested without incident.
The 42-year-old man has been charged with 18 offences, including: aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm; steal motor vehicle; stealing; armed robbery; aggravated burglary and commit; attempted armed robbery; steal motor vehicle and drive recklessly; no authority to drive; reckless driving; fail to stop; and burglary and commit.
He will be appearing in the Perth Magistrates Court on October 5.
