THE impact of the Esperance bushfires has spread throughout the state with Margaret River teenager hoping to help.
India Stanley went to Gallipoli this year as part of the centenary ANZAC event and in the same group was Esperance boy Tom Curnow.
The Esperance bushfires started on November 15 and tragically claimed four lives, including Tom’s dad.
India said the group who travelled to Turkey became very “tight knit” and everyone was “devastated” to hear the news.
“We just want to help in any way possible,” she said.
To show her support India will be holding a fundraiser at the Margaret River Senior High School tomorrow.
It will be a free dress day with funds going to the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund.
