BRITISH celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has taken to Instagram to praise Wilyabrup winery Cullen Wines to her almost half a million strong following.
The professional chef, food writer and journalist who is beloved the world over for her abilities in the kitchen has made an appearance on Australian TV as a guest judge on the reality cooking program Masterchef.
On Sunday, Lawson used social media to praise the WA business for their "utterly fabulous" 2014 Amber.
The wine is the first Amber wine produced by the Margaret River region winery and is a blend of semillon and sauvignon blanc coming from their certified biodynamic vineyards.
Cullen Winery co-owner Vanya Cullen said the idea behind the wine was to make a white wine like a red.
"It is our first orange wine and it is quite amazing," she said.
"It is so wonderful to get this kind of positive feedback on our product and we were so thrilled to see Nigella's recommendation."
Lawson was also quoted in a recent article praising Cullen Wines' 2014 Mangan Vineyard semillon sauvignon blanc.
She said she was not much of a wine drinker but found that one to be quite delicious.
