A FAMILY of tourists were lucky to walk away uninjured after a crash in Witchcliffe on Monday afternoon.
Margaret River police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Brett Cassidy said the white Toyota four-wheel drive left Bussell Highway after the driver was spooked.
"Something appeared in front of the driver causing him to swerve, hit a rail and end up with the hire car he was driving lodged in a fence," he said.
"He and his five passengers were lucky to escape without injury."
The fence belongs to Samantha Goh Edwards, the owner of Pixie Valley Miniature Horse Stud who captured pictures of the crash.
She said she was relieved all the people in the car were uninjured, including a boy about 10 years old.
