THE Margaret River Basketball Association was strongly represented at the recent country championships in Perth with a total of six teams competing.
First time competitors included the under 13 girls, under 15 girls as well as the under 16 boys.
Every game for the under 13 girls was a close and hard fought match.
The under 15 girls won four out of their six games with Arabelle Gibson securing an all-star award.
The under 16 boys placed third on the ladder and just missing out on the grand final by percentage points.
Cody Rogers was also awarded an all-star his performance.
The under 14 girls were undefeated in their competition and scored a resounding grand final win.
An all-star award was presented to Mia Dronow.
The under 16 girls finished as runners-up after playing in a nail bitting grand final which ran into overtime by five minutes.
Jorja Webb secured an all-star award for her division.
The under 18 girls also gave a strong performance and finished runners up after a close grand final game.
The association thanked all coaches, team managers, umpires and parents for their support.
