BODYBOARDING action will be coming to town this weekend for the second event of the WA State Titles to be held in the Yallingup region. After the first event in Mandurah, some riders will already be challenging each other for the state crown and a spot in the state team to compete at the nationals. Local powerhouse Lachie Breaky from Dunsborough will be looking for another solid result and will have to watch out for an in-form Noah Symmans from Albany.
Congratulations to local legend Taj Burrows for taking out first place in the Keramas Pro in Bali. Taj ripped apart the competition on some perfect 4-6 foot waves. His last tour event will be Fiji in June, a great sendoff for such a stellar career.
Forecast: A 3m swell is on it’s way for Saturday with some light NNW winds which could give us some waves in Bunker Bay and Rocky Point. Then Sunday another massive swell is going to hit the coast which should be 4m plus. Strong NW winds could mean waves at Eagle Bay, Meelup and Castle Rock.
