THE Margaret River Year 9-12 boy’s lost to top of the ladder Cavaliers 4 -1 on Friday night.
The Margaret River defence worked hard all game thwarting many of Cavaliers’ incursions, with goal keeper Conor Callow making lots of saves, but in the end they were just too strong.
Margaret River had a number of scoring chances in the first half but were unable to convert and the score was 2-0 at half-time.
The second half started much the same, towards the end Margaret River had some passages of play which saw the ball in their forward line.
Tyron Bradshaw hit the ball cleanly into the top left hand corner of the net with 10 minutes remaining this goal spurred Margaret River on.
Special mention to the girls regular players Asha Altmann, Tess and Kiri Mann and Kate Mann who played in her first boy’s game. The umpire’s votes were awarded to Tyron Bradshaw, Conor Callow and Blake Smith and Bradshaw received the coaches’ Swings and Roundabouts pizza voucher for his outstanding goal.
