The sun came out for the Festival du Bois French-Canadian Open Day at Margaret River Independent School on Saturday.
More than 200 people attended the event sampling authentic French-Canadian foods like poutine, pancakes and maple syrup, and Montreal hot dogs.
Crowds enjoyed the free activities and music including ‘Red Dress’, ‘Simon Walsh of Cirquel’ and ‘The Fission Gypsies’.
Every second year, a French-influenced country is picked to celebrate the students’ French studies.
Each class focuses on different aspects of the country from politics and agriculture through to traditional costume, and geography.
