It seemed that every person in the region looking for a place to boogie during the Gourmet Escape weekend chose to descend upon the White Elephant Cafe in Gnarabup on Friday, for the first of the sold out Sunset, Beats and Bites events at the coastal venue.

As guest chef and Gourmet Escape star Analiese Gregory from Bar Brose (Sydney) manned the grill on the deck, the sun sank below the horizon and the volume rose on the funky tunes.
A selection of “new wave” winemakers provided the refreshments at individual stations around the cafe while trays of gourmet bites were passed through the growing crowd by the White Elephant crew.
“This is awesome, it feels like we’re at a secret party out in the middle of nowhere!” Tania Smiley from Perth exclaimed as she busted a move on the dancefloor.
“I drove down here last night and I’m staying in Margaret River town, but right now I think I might never go back to Perth and just party here every night!”
