The Busselton Aboriginal community celebrated the season of Birak on Saturday with plenty of stories told through dance, music, colour and song at the foreshore. The Festival of Birak made its glorious return after four years.
Art and craft: Besides enjoying an afternoon of song and dance, children painted boomerangs (kylie) and designed clapping sticks.
Ricketta Walley was a deadly force out on the Busselton Foreshore, entertaining the audience with solos and audience-interactive pieces.

Traditional dance: Warrior dancers put on a haunting and beautiful display of stealth, mystery and power.
Mob with moves: A little Justin Bieber was thrown into the mix as performer Michael Smith got the kids involved in some contemporary dance moves.
An enthralled audience watched on as different dances portraying Noongar culture such as dreaming stories and animals were performed.
