A special swap event to raise money for children’s charity God’s Golden Acre will aim to clear out closets of unworn clothing and breathe new life into local wardrobes.
The clothes swap night will kick off at Cowaramup Hall this coming Saturday February 18 and organisers are accepting mens, ladies and childrens’ clothing, accessories and shoes.
Donors will receive a token in return for each donated item, with additional tokens available to purchase on the night. Participants then use the tokens to ‘purchase’ items from the pop up shop.
Co-organiser Jaime Werren said past events had been a lot of fun.
“It is a fully licenced event with a bar open throughout the evening, so it is a great excuse to get rid of some things hanging in the back of the wardrobe while socialising with friends and picking up some new treasures along the way,” she said.
Proceeds will go to the South African children’s charity, which assists orphaned and vulnerable children whose lives have been devastated as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, poverty & violence
