The Margaret River Independent School (MRIS) has welcomed the latest flock of little learners, with 17 kindergarten aged children starting at the campus this year.
MRIS Kindy teacher Helen Ewing said the focus of the first few weeks was ‘Being Friendly at Kindy.’
“The children have been creating a book about friendliness at kindy and have been learning the action song ‘Friendly Frog.’
“The kindergarten class has a set of twins, Frankie and Floyd Smith bring our total number of twin sets at the school to two.”
Ms Ewing said the start of the kindergarten program had the children settling into routine, gaining confidence in the kindergarten’s surroundings and getting to know each other.
