The Veterans had a real battle for the championships 2017.
The second stroke round was won by Bill Ivey on count back from Brien Taylor, both 34 points with Jim Watson coming in on third place.
The honours went to Laurie Bedford this year, proud winner of the shield with Mike Beale close second with only one point less.
Oldest player Brien Taylor came in third.
The women’s Stableford was won by Kim Robson on count back from Anne Kendra, both with a score of 36.
Rose Basford only scored one point less for third prize.
Billy Pascoe played best in The Kevill Electrical Men’s Stableford with 42 points.
Adrian Reilly followed (39) and Tim Fox just got the better of Dave Glasson (38).
There was a happy vibe and plenty of delicious cake at Friday’s mixed stableford as Mary and Jim Taylor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Matt O’Farrell came first (20), Lorna West second(19) and Di Yates (18) collected third prize.
