Margaret River Senior High School music students will host their annual Big Band Picnic nextThursday, displaying the skills of talented musicians supported by family and friends as well as teachers and school staff.
The popular yearly community event will bring families to the school’s Auditorium Quadrangle, where over 100 students from Year 7 to Year 10 will perform a variety of musical pieces.
Music teacher Isabelle Lemon said the evening was a highlight on the school’s calendar.
“This is a lovely time for families to bring a picnic, sit on the grass and enjoy some of our talented young musicians.”
“There will be a selection of musical items in different styles performed by the students.”
A number of sweet and snack stalls will be operating for fundraising purposes.
The MRSHS Big Band Picnic will be held at the high school auditorium quadrangle from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday March 30. Entry is free and attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic.
