Easter in the Margaret River region | Photos

The towns of Margaret River, Augusta and Cowaramup were bustling with tourists keen to make the most of stunning autumn weather over the Easter long weekend.

The South West corner of the State continued to be the hottest destination for holidaymakers, with traffic at a standstill at peak times and large scale police operations reminding drivers of the Easter road safety message.

The traditional Easter egg hunt was a popular choice for families on Sunday morning while church services were crowded with out of town visitors.

The region’s wineries, breweries and restaurants were packed with patrons and the line to the only drive thru service in Margaret River, Yahava Koffeeworks, stretched around the block.

Sweet treats were the order of the day, and social media users flooded feeds with images of their Easter hauls as well as the decadent selection of locally produced chocolate, baked goods and the ever-popular Margaret River Farmers’ Market fare.
