Works have commenced on a new chalet development at Augusta’s Turner Caravan Park.
In a statement released by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, park manager Hettie Enderes said holidaymakers were already booking the Shire-owned chalets ahead of their completion.
“The park has always been popular for its prominent position on the Blackwood River,” Mrs Enderes said.
“The chalets are another feather to our bow and will work to support more visitation to Augusta.”
The works, which include three new chalets, a storage facility and an amenity block upgrade, aim to support tourism in Augusta in the off peak and shoulder seasons and provide accommodation alternatives to the current caravanning and camping options.
The project is expected to be completed later this year. Construction updates are available at www.turnerpark.amrshire.wa.gov.au
