The Cowaramup District Club was packed with revellers on Thursday for the town’s annual Biggest Morning Tea fundraising event.
Marking ten years under the coordination of Deborah Earl, who steps down as event organiser this year, the event was attended by the Cancer Council’s Sarah Wiley who presented Mrs Earl with a commemorative gift and spoke of the contribution made to cancer research.
The Italian themed party was a sea of red, white and green and many attendees got into the spirit, channeling their best Italian ‘nonna’ look.
The event has raised over $250,000 towards cancer research in the last decade thanks to ticket sales, donations, raffles and auctions held during the annual, themed gatherings.
