A man had been cut out of his cars by firefighters after crashing his car into the garage of a home in Lynwood on Monday.
Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said the driver of a Mitsubishi Magna Sedan lost control of his car around 6:15pm and crashed into the carport and garage of a home on Iveston Road.
The driver was trapped in his car and had to be extracted by Department of Fire and Emergency officers.
He received minor injuries and was brought to Fiona Stanley Hospital. He was also breath tested, the ABC's Graeme Powell reported.
The roof of the premises in Lynwood home were damaged and State Emergency Services personnel attended to secure the site.
Investigations are continuing and police would like to anyone who had seen the crash or the car prior to the crash.
