Veteran Peter Clift won Tuesday’s stableford with 21 points while a battle for second and third took place on a multiple count back. John Agnew (second), Ray Bennett (third), Jim Taylor, Peter Brennan, Brien Taylor and Abe Huisken all scored 20 points.
The women enjoyed an Irish stableford this week. The team of Jo Booker, Rhonda Hearn, Lesley Folkard and Kerry Farrelly came first with 112 points. Captain Wendy Chidgey, Denise Warren and Rosemary Basford scored the runners up prize.
It was a Late Afternoon Glass Off (Lago Wines) at the Thursday men’s scroungers. Brian Seed was top gun with a score of 39 points.
Visitor David Fear came in for second (37) on a count back from Viv Booker. A great day of good golf followed by a barbecue meal on the deck while watching the footy – doesn’t get much better for the boys.
Mary Taylor took home first prize at the Friday mixed stableford on a count back from Jo Pyatt both with 19 points. Jim Taylor came third with one point less.
The Advanced Hearing Men’s stableford was won by Gerard McCabe who just pipped Steven Reed on a count back (38). Brian “Seedy” Seed was in the top three again to score third prize with 36 points.

Fantastic prizes to be won and Lexus kindly offered a few platters to be shared after the game amongst the golfers.
‘El Presidenta’ Ange Burges went home with first prize with a top score of 36 points. Committee member Dave Noske received second prize (35) and artist Jo Broadhurst was lucky to came third on a multiple count back from ”dad-to-be’’ Stuart Currell, head gardener Rosemary Basford, and local plumber Tim Fox.
The women’s program held on Fridays is going strong with two hours of free tuition between 12:30 and 2:30pm, followed by junior golf from 4pm to 5pm.
