After spending more than 20 years teaching swimming to countless South West residents, Bev Annesley will pass the reins to long time colleague and fellow teacher, Roberta Williams.
Mrs Annesley, who began the Annesley Aquatics school in Busselton over two decades ago before moving operations to Margaret River 14 years ago, said she was looking forward to a new direction in life, and was happy to be leaving the school in safe hands.
“Roberta has had over 11 years of teaching with Annesley Aquatics and is the vacation swimming centre instructor,” Mrs Annesley said.
“I’m looking forward to spending some time on myself and with my family, as well as travelling. It is sad to say goodbye but I am very happy to see Roberta taking the reins after all this time.”
Classes will continue through Term 3, with many local families keen to keep up the fitness and swim skills throughout winter.
Those wishing to enrol in classes can contact Roberta Williams on 0429 651 450.
