One of Margaret River’s most popular tourist attractions will become a little more accessible to locals this week.
Caffeine lovers used to waiting in long lines during peak times to pick up their much-needed coffee fix from Yahava Koffeeworks may be pleased to hear the home of Margaret River’s only official drive thru service window, has announced the launch of their mobile app which will go live on Thursday morning.
According to manager Shae Dillon, the app will provide another ordering channel for regulars and locals who are experiencing delays at the drive thru.
“We are breaking records for cars through our drive thru left, right and centre,” Ms Dillon said.
“I’m very proud of our team of baristas who have kept up with huge demand and managed to keep waiting times very low.
“The issue now is less about how long the wait for coffee is, and more about the sheer volume of cars coming through each day.”
Ms Dillon said the store had recently broken their record for number of cars served each day, and that the team regularly handled between 200 and 300 vehicles between close and open.
“That is on top of our very busy tasting room and cafe, which welcomes tour groups and bus loads of visitors every day.”
Ms Dillon said the drive thru was used predominantly by locals, and the team had a long list of regular customers who would benefit from the new app.
“You can place your order online using the app, and access everything on our menu, including the locally made food we have from The Larder and Cavalcade Desserts,” she said.
Customers are tracked in-store so that orders can be made in good time, and app-placed orders will be collected at a new service window installed this week.
“It will be a much easier way to place your order at home or at the office, particularly if you have a large order or during those busy times of the day, and you can just jump out and grab your coffee rather than waiting to place your order.”
The Yahava app is available for iOS and Android devices and is free to download.
