“The chocolate ports are a real taste sensation and customers love them,” Ms Hutton said, noting that their new creation was likely be a winner with their customers who love coffee.
“It has a lovely tawny gold colour with an alluring aroma of freshly ground coffee beans,” she said.
“The palate is smooth with a persistent coffee flavour.
“It has the wow factor.”
Gralyn Estate planted their first vines in 1975 to diversify their beef farm due to a downturn in beef prices.
It was the first winery to open a cellar door in Margaret River and were the first to make fortified wine in the region from Cabernet sauvignon vines they had planted in 1975.
Today the winemakers produce a range of fortified wines including traditional styles such as vintage, tawny and aged muscats, as well as some extraordinary styles, such as white chocolate and chocolate ruby.
The fortified coffee wine will be available for tasting and sale from 10.30am to 4.30pm at the Gralyn cellar door located at 4145 Caves Road in Wilyabrup.
