A 32-year-old man is in hospital after was struck in the head with a metal chain while attending a footy function in South Lake on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the victim was inside the Anning Park clubrooms about 4:30pm celebrating a season wind-up when a fight broke out between the victim and two other men.
One of the men is believed to have punched the victim in the face, while the other man struck him with a metal chain to the head.
Witnesses quickly intervened in the fight, and helped the victim with his injuries.
Police attended the scene and the 32-year-old man was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
A 19-year-old man was charged with unlawful wounding and a 38-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The pair will both appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on September 18.
It was a busy weekend for WA Police, who were called to a number of assaults across the metropolitan area.
A 21-year-old man was also rushed to hospital after he was punched in the face by two men in a Leederville carpark on Friday evening.
The man had been in the Oxford Street carpark at around 10.40pm when a fight broke out between him and two other men.
Police say the man was punched hard in the face, and he "immediately" collapsed and hit his head on the ground.
In a separate incident, a 23-year-old man suffered "bleeding in the brain" when he was viciously attacked at a Camillo pub, also on Friday evening.
It is understood the man fell to the ground after being punched during a fight and hit his head on a pool table. His attacker then punched him in the head again, before fleeing the premises.
Both victims are currently in hospital receiving treatment.
