Margaret River Independent School students ‘went bush’ on Thursday during their school’s annual Year One Bush School event.
Children enjoyed making damper and worry dolls, as well as weaving, taking part in a tracking activity and a fire-making session all supported with help from school parents.
Teacher Skye Robertson said students talked about the Aboriginal use of fire, as well as ‘good fire’ and ‘bad fire’.
“Thanks to all the parents who assisted on the day,” Ms Robertson said.
“Bush School is only possible due to our wonderful parent help."
