With Stage 2 of the Margaret River Perimimeter Road starting, Main Roads WA has urged the community to stay safe around the construction areas.
Drivers should expect traffic delays with reduced speed and lane closures.
They have asked drivers to allow for extra travel time to ensure everyone stays safe.
Main Roads will be clearing vegetation close to Bussell Highway at the northern entrance to town.
There will also be an impact to some walking trails which is expected to last until July 2018.
There will be no access from 10 Mile Dam or from the walk trails from town in the western areas.
This is while Main Roads builds a bridge over Margaret River.
Signage is in place which indicated the distance from the construction site which will show how far residents can walk before they will need to turn back.
The Darch trail is also closed on either side of the construction site and similar signage is in place along the track.
Main Roads will also be doing work along John Archibald Drive but is dependant on weather.
This work has been delayed due to rain.
