Folk singer songwriter Helen Shanahan will arrive in town this week to play a show at Settlers. Touring to celebrate her debut album released earlier this year, Shanahan’s tunes offer shades of Australian music legends Missy Higgins, Sarah Blasko and Clare Bowditch.
The 28-year-old Perth musician and graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) has released three EPs since 2009, while supporting a wide range of live acts including Matt Corby and Bowditch herself.
Recorded in Nashville with Brad Jones (Missy Higgins, Bob Evans), Every Little Sting is Shanahan’s follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed EP Finding Gold.
Helen Shanahan will play Settlers Tavern Thursday November 23 from 8.30pm. Entry is free.
