IGA has donated $2970 to buy a breast pump for the Margaret River Community Breastfeeding Support Group.
Donna Livingstone of the group said the pump is “better quality than mums can buy in a chemist” and will help many mothers in Margaret River. “There are mums in Margs who have had to hire pumps before,” she said.
“It’s more for mums who want to long-term breastfeed.”
Mothers who have a premature baby, are returning to work or who have low-supply issues will benefit from using the pump, which has a stronger vacuum than chemist-quality ones.
“We want to offer it as a service to our community,” Donna said.
“We as a group would really like to thank IGA. It would have taken years (without them).”
Anyone who would like to borrow the pump can contact Andrea on 0421 077 606.
