BRINGING a regular market to Witchcliffe is something resident Cheryl Wixon has always wanted to do and now the day is here, she is throwing in another treat for the community at the same time.
On Saturday, November 10, the Witchcliffe Markets will be held in front of the tennis club on Bussell Highway, as well as a new Backyard Café to run nearby at the Witchy Gull.
“We wanted a little café, something for Witchy,”
Cheryl said, who owns the Witchy Gull with husband Jeremy.
Open Wednesday to Sunday until the end of summer, the small and cosy outdoor café will serve breakfasts and lunches with the kitchen open 7.30am-2pm.
The first Witchcliffe Markets day, 8am-2pm, will coincide with Saturday’s Vintage Fair. Cheryl said she hoped the two events would complement each other, and if the market was successful it may run once a month.
Several stalls have already booked in with items such as lemons, toys, clothing and funky pots for sale. Cheryl hopes more will join them for the weekend.
If you are interested in holding a stall at the Witchcliffe Markets, contact 9757 6360. Cost is $10.
