YOUNG people interested in learning about climate change are invited to hear Nick Taylor of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition give a free talk at 7pm on Thursday, July 19 at the Margaret River Cultural Centre.
He will talk about his journey from engineer to renewable energy campaigner, and tell the story of the youth climate movement in Australia.
He will also talk about what his generation should be doing next to bring about necessary change.
Nick completed a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Australia, graduating with First Class Honours.
In the non-profit sector, Nick co-founded the monthly community event TEDxPerth, which has become Perth’s premier ideas-sharing event for young people passionate about affecting positive change, and which won a WA Youth Award in 2010.
