MONOCYCLES, acrobatics and contortion were just some of the elements that had jaws dropping at the Western Australian Circus Festival last weekend.
More than 100 Australian and international performers put on their best circus displays on various stages in Karridale.
Some acts made use of the site’s more-permanent equipment, including the trapeze. One man, daredevil high diver Matty Swan, jumped from a 17-metre-high platform into a three-metre dam.
Other highlight acts included Vague de Cirque from Canada, Briefs and At the Last Gasp.
Many families and young children were attracted to the three-day festival and some joined in the spirit by attempting to learn hula hooping, spinning plates and more.
The Western Australian Circus Festival is held every Australia Day weekend.
