A group of more than 25 brave souls faced the icy waters of Gnarabup Beach last weekend as part of the annual Swimming Women Jetty Jump.
Taking the winter plunge this year to commemorate four years since the group was established, the swimmers leapt into the chilly ocean waters.
According to Swimming Women’s Charlotte O’Beirne, more than 500 Margaret River women have joined the group since it began in June 2013.
“Since we started a great number of local ladies have come on board to help their swimming skills and enjoy all the associated health benefits of swimming,” she said, adding that the cold water was an invigorating start to the morning.
“Refreshing was the word!”
