U9s Margaret River Sharks V Margaret River Falcons
The Falcons notched up their best game for the season so far with the team combining for a great game of football against The Sharks.
After an average first quarter, the team came back onto the field fully motivated after a rousing pep talk from coach Paul Bebbington with Oke Frasier the stand out.
Both teams should be proud of what was a fantastic game of football with possession divided equally and some solid defence making it equally as enjoyable for spectators. – Anthony Pancia
U11s Margaret River Sharks v Cowaramup Bulls
Round Two for these teams was a much more even bout than the first of the season with both teams going blow for blow displaying great skills and a willingness for the contest throughout the match to make it a close, tough fight.
At crucial stages Sharks players Mitchell Griffiths and Harry Chadwick showed true Rocky Balboa spirit when bouncing straight back up from the canvas after heavy hits from much bigger Bulls opponents to show the Sharks never give in.
At the end of the bout a solid team effort by the Sharks with all 15 Rocky's contributing was the difference in the end for them to take out the Russian sized Bulls and claim Round Two as well. – The MR Sharks Runner
U13s Margaret River Sharks v Cowaramup Bulls
Friday night footy at its best when the under 13’s Sharks took on the Cowaramup Bulls.The last time these two teams met the Sharks won, so Friday night saw the Bulls come out in full force in the first half, kicking goal after goal!
As the half time siren went the Bulls were up by 30 points. After some strong, inspiring words by Sharks coach Seb Donovan the Sharks fought back, with only a few points the difference at third quarter time.
The fourth quarter was very intense with both teams playing their hearts out, and all spectators roaring with delight and suspense. Joel Appleton for the Sharks kicked the last goal of the match with only 15 seconds to go.
The amount of talent that these youngsters possess is something to be very proud of, and such a privilege to watch each week. The final result was a debatable draw.
