The Cat Empire and Xavier Rudd have been announced as the headline acts for the Western Australian leg of the nation’s newest summer festival, SummerSalt.
With a mission statement to celebrate the best of a great Australian outdoor summer, the festival will tour coastal and regional centres around the country.
3 Oceans Winery, a favourite venue for outdoor events and music festivals, will play host to the summer crowds once again.
The festival will include a dedicated SummerSalt Lounge, where lounge ticketholders can enjoy the show at their own pace.
Market stalls, food trucks and cultural activities are planned and as many of the activities are family friendly, concertgoers of all ages are encouraged.
One of the most energetic and exciting live bands in the country, The Cat Empire are a firm favourite with South West punters, drawing crowds to the winery’s grounds most recently in early 2016.
Their last international tour saw them play to over a quarter of a million people throughout Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia, building a steady swell of passionate fans thanks largely to their live performances.
Xavier Rudd is another down south favourite, and will return to WA shores after a massive 45 date tour of Europe and North America which saw him grace festival stages and headline iconic theatres.
Hailed as one of Australia’s most proficient multi-instrumentalists, Rudd’s deep connections with people and the land are a strong and constant theme throughout his music.
Much loved Australian musicians John Butler and Missy Higgins will headline festival dates on the East Coast.
SummerSalt will land at 3 Oceans Winery on Saturday December 2, 2017.
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday July 25 from 10.00am local time – visit www.summersaltmusic.com.au
