Margaret River resident Carlton Williams set a new world record last month after completing a massive 2,682 push ups at the Body Club Fitness Centre on Station Road.
Mr Williams, who has previously held the record on a number of occasions, faced a target of 2,392 push ups to take back the title he collected in 2015 with 2,220 push ups.
For the record attempt to count, Mr Williams had to maintain perfect form throughout the allotted sixty minute window.
The 52 year old told guinnessworldrecords.com that taking back the title was a chance to prove that he was the best in the world.
The record is one of the most contested in the global collection of sometimes-quirky and often-incredible feats of strength, displays of talent and natural wonders.
