Starting the week was the Vets on Tuesday with first place to Kim Hewton on 24, second to Bruce Darby on 21c/b and third John Agnew (21). Wednesday was the Ladies Day with the 9 Hole Stableford. First place went to Mary Taylor (15c/b), second to Joan Garstone on 15 and third Colleen Marks (11).
Following this was the Ladies 18 Holes Stableford where Vivien Williams secured first place on 35, second went to Linda Whyte on 34c/b and third to Leonie Bell on 34c/b. The Aquatic Visions Men’s scroungers event had the temperature rising to 28 degrees and saw Graeme Payne as the best player of the round scoring 40c/b with Ray Mann close behind also on 40c/b. Paul Simpson took third place with a score of 40.
Friday’s mixed 9 hole stableford best man of the morning with a score of 20c/b was Rod Bishop, Cathy Carroll was best woman on ground this week (21), followed by Maggi Foy in third place scoring 20.
With beautiful weather for Saturday’s 18 hole stableford event sponsored by SW Quad Repairs, first player scoring 39c/b went to Jeff Crouch, Mervan Howe came in second on 39 and third place went to Brian Seed scoring 37c/b. Sunday’s Mixed Stableford sponsored by Priceline Pharmacy saw David Burges win first place with a score of 38c/b, Anne Kendra came second scoring 38 and in third place with 35c/b was Sean Howard.
