Amnesty Margaret River will host a special event to mark Justice for Refugees Day this month at Reuther Park in the centre of town.
Dancers of all ages will attempt to limbo for a whopping three hours, starting from 1pm on Sunday March 25 aiming to raise funds for the Rohingya Refugees stranded in Bangladesh.
The group aims to raise $5000 towards the cause, and group spokesperson Rod Whittle said the effort was open to people of all dancing abilities.
“We are calling for dancers to join the #OutofLimbo Margaret River Challenge Team, as part of nationwide Palm Sunday action.
Members of the public can join the team by registering online, or can show their support by attending the dance challenge at the park.
“The current refugee crisis is one of the worst the world has seen with 60 million displaced people worldwide.
“Many people across the globe are forced to spend their lives in a refugee camp, in poverty and without hope.
“By supporting Amnesty International Margaret River's #Out Of Limbo Refugee Limbo Challenge you are helping to make the world a better place.
“Don’t be worried if you not too fit but keen to dance, we have our ways of helping to make sure everyone finishes!”
The Amnesty Margaret River #OutofLimbo challenge is on from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday March 25 at Reuther Park.
