Lovers of rock legends Led Zeppelin should shake and groove down to Settlers tonight for the Record Club Roadshow’s Led Zeppelin IV tribute show.
Performed by Record Club hosts Steve Parkin (Basement Birds) on vocals and Malcolm Clark (Sleepy Jackson) on drums, playing together for the first time since their epic performance of Pink Floyd’s The Wall .
Completing the lineup are big guns Jon Stockman of Perth’s own rock royalty Karnivool on bass and virtuoso WA rock guitarist Ben Elphick taking on axe duties.
Settlers Tavern entertainment director Jon Godden said the Record Club gigs had become hugely popular with local punters keen to experience more classic albums in a live setting.
“I think it’s so popular because everyone tends to enjoy live music, and there’s something awesome about seeing and hearing one of your favourite albums performed by really sharp musicians who are also massive fans of the tunes,” he said.
“The last event was an enormous night and people were blown away by how amazing these albums sound live.”
The Record Club Roadshow’s Led Zeppelin IV is on Thursday April 26 from 9.30pm. For tickets and info www.settlerstavern.com
