Margaret River man Andy Beadle passed away late last year after a battle with cancer. His mother Alaine penned this tribute to local group River Angels and the wider community for their support.
Andy’s 50th birthday was recently on 23rd April, 2018. I blew up a heap of balloons, visited with family and then to the cemetery. The family then all got together for a dinner at my house – they had a beautiful lemon meringue pie for his birthday, he would have loved it!
I would like to take the opportunity, at the time of my son’s 50th birthday to thank all of the wonderful support people that have been there for my son and the wider family.
I feel that this is a great way to honour my boy and to acknowledge the love he was surrounded by.
The family would like to specifically thank Lynda Donovan and the wonderful River Angels who provided Andy with home and love, their support enabled his wishes to come true.
This support kept Andy and the family going.
We would also like to send out a huge thank you to the doctors and nurses who have attended Andy throughout his illness.
Andy’s final days and his funeral were such a beautiful time with people coming from near and far to be together.
Special gratitude to Vin and Hugh for our traditional Haka.
Andy’s final wishes were once again to acknowledge his River Angels, he loved having them beside him.
From myself and my family AROHHANUI (God Bless You All)
