Flor Marché party an explosion of floral fun | Photos

The official launch party of the Flor Marché 2018 Rosat took place early this month at Saharan Daze in Cowaramup.

The evening was a celebration of Rosat, fashion by Featherhorn The Label and floristry by new local business Flowers of Florence.

Guests were asked to bring a rose on arrival and were invited to weave it into the floral installation created by Flowers of Florence.

Local chef Claudio Tallarico (facebook.com/dolceclaudio) provided a colourful collection of canapés while local musician Tilly entertained guests with her melodic performance.

Featherhorn The Label (featherhornthelabel.com.au) is a bohemian and luxe brand established by Freya Cheffers and stocked at the Bussell Highway store.

Clothes are flowing, vibrant and colourful celebrating life, nature and beauty.

One of the highlights of the evening was a dynamic fashion parade featuring Featherhorn’s latest arrivals by local models, who took to the runway surrounded by partygoers.

Flowers of Florence (facebook.com/FlowersofFlorence) is a floristry business established by Olivia Caldwell and Kathryn Morrison specialising in unique bouquet arrangements and DoTERRA essential oils.

The flower arrangements boast eclectic and colourful combinations to warm the heart and home.

Established in 2010, Wilyabrup winery Flor Marché produces natural wines with low sulphur.

The 2018 Rosat is made from old vine, organic Grenache from the Swan Valley.

Rosat is the Catalan word for Rosé and references Flor Marché winemaker Elizabeth Reed’s experience of making wine in Catalonia.

‘Rosé wines have experienced extraordinary growth in recent years, particularly for dry Provence styles,” Miss Reed said.

“My Rosat was fermented naturally, partially in barrel and is vegan friendly.”

Flor Marché has recently opened a cellar door at 49 Wilyabrup Road, Wilyabrup and is open Thursday to Sunday 10-4pm or by appointment.
