It was a successful night for Margaret River's Year 9-12 boys hockey team with a hard fought nil all draw with Wests last Friday night.
It was Margaret River's first draw for the season, in a tough tussle at the Busselton stadium.
The team kept focused and goalie Isaac had support in the goals with Zane, Oscar and Jack, to hold off several strong attacks by Wests early in the first half.
Ben, Archie and Angus moved the ball well in the fast paced game. Margaret River worked as a team and showed good passing, especially when a ball from Connor to Darcy resulted in a shot on goals, but just missed the mark.
Rhys, Henry and Griff worked hard on the pitch and Margaret River held off a final shot in the last seconds before half time.
Rain settled in during the break, but Margaret River maintained their momentum with clever passing, strong running and good team work in the second half. Margaret River held off several last minute attacks on goals by Wests to take home a nil all draw.
