U9s Bulls Gold v Falcons
The Bulls Gold U9s played Margaret River team Falcons at a wet and windy Cowaramup oval on Saturday, playing good wet weather football and dominating most passages of play.
Cavan Payne and Ethan Semenow continually kept the ball moving forward, taking some great marks in the wet conditions, and Cavan scored some awesome long-range goals.
Oscar Zan capped off a good game with some clever goals too.
Coaches awards went to Olli Jakovich, Lucas McCarthy and Sullivan Weeks.
U11s Bulls Gold v Falcons
For a game played in wet conditions (including hail) this was a highly skilled game and great to watch between two very even teams.
Falcons probably got the better of the first quarter, but for the rest of the game Bulls kept at the task and steadily pegged them back, so in the end the result was fairly close.
The Bulls’ forwards, while not getting a heap of opportunities, made the most of what they did get and strung together some great passages of clean team play to get some goals on the board through Mackenzie Weeks, Jack Zan, Gilbert Fokema, Mitch Binning and James Meldrum, and the defenders made good decisions in clearing the ball out of the area and finding team mates.
Avion Packer in particular tackled hard and read the play well all day in defence.
Coaches awards went to Alex, Avion and James.
