Margaret River’s cancer support group River Angels received another positive boost to their fundraising efforts with a recent cake stall held by Arts Margaret River volunteers raising much needed cash for the charity.
River Angels assist locals and their families experiencing cancer treatment and coping with the effects of cancer within their families.
Baked goods were provided by the Arts Margaret River team and the stall was manned outside the Margaret River Central shopping complex by members of the Arts MR Volunteer Hub Committee, a group of six volunteers and two management staff, developed to promote and support AMR during the renovation of the Cultural Centre precinct.
A total of $392 was raised during three hours of selling cakes, cookies, cupcakes and slices, with all proceeds donated to River Angels to support their worthwhile efforts in the community.
