The Margaret River Roller Derby crew will hold their one and only home game of the season this month, giving local fans a fantastic opportunity to experience one of the world’s fastest growing team sports on home turf, with hometown skaters.

Kicking off at the Margaret River Recreation Centre on Sunday September 23, the Margaret River and Friends team will face Kwinana’s Dread Pirate Rollers from 11.30am.

At 1.30pm, the Unicorns will take on the Dragons, featuring players from Perth, Margaret River, Bunbury, Adelaide and Kwinana.

Margaret River Roller Derby spokesperson Sarah Kissell said the bouts were a great spectator sport for the whole family, with lots of cheering and local support encouraged.

“These are our local skaters who have been training regularly and getting better and better, so come out and join in the fun and show your support for this great club.”

Doors open at 10.30am – tickets at the door, cash sales only.

$5 entry for adults, kids free.
